Legacy Left Behind, Dr. Jerry Buss

Dr. Jerry Buss passed away last night, at the age of 80 of liver failure. He’s been battling cancer since 2012. Dr. Buss had several accomplishments during his 34 years of being an Los Angeles Laker owner. He had 1786 wins since 1979 (most in NBA), 9 seasons with 60 plus wins (most in NBA), made it to the NBA Finals 16 times (most in NBA), inducted to NBA Hall of Fame in 2010, just to name a few.

NBA commissioner David Stern said of Buss “The NBA has lost a visionary owner whose influence on our league is incalculable and will be felt for decades to come”. Lakers guard Kobe Bryant said “His impact is felt worldwide” Lastly Magic Johnson said on twitter “WOW! Where do I begin?! I was 19 when I first met Dr. Buss and for 34yrs he has been a father figure and best friend”
